108 year curse finally broken. CUBS WIN!

I'm not a baseball fan by any means necessary. I will actually only watch baseball for the Home Run Derby during their All Star weekend. But tonight was the night that I had to watch some baseball. The Chicago Cubs, my grandaddy's favorite team, were playing the Cleveland Indians. For those that don't know, I lost my grandaddy last year; the Cubs were actually in the series last year and didn't go very far so I didn't watch much of it last year. But this was the year I just had to watch as I knew my grandaddy would have been enjoying every bit of it if he was here. So tonight I sat here, almost the entire game, didn't change the channel and just watched the ups (and downs) of the game. Of course I got a little bummed when the Indians tied it up at 6 and they had to go into an extra inning, but AT LAST THE CUBS WON by just a single point. Its just so emotional, pretty much my entire family was watching rooting for the cubs, my chicago family of course rooting because they like the team and for my grandaddy. I'm sure my uncle (my grandaddy's brother) probably rooted for them and he likes the White Sox (he and my grandaddy used to argue about the teams all the time, lol) But I'm glad that after 108 years the cubs finally won, I just wish my grandaddy was here to see it.
