I Need to Shut Down for a While

I've been inundated with screens interrupting my interaction here. About every five minutes or less I get messages to install a privacy program, download a media player update, and now I'm getting the Microsoft scam. I don't know what's up, but it's beyond annoying. So I'm going to save my sanity and watch some TV for a little while and then come back and hope I don't have that problem any longer. Are you getting any of those annoying screens today? Thanks for reading. I will be back, that's a promise.

When your computer wants to install stuff, you might as well let it. It will give you no peace until you do it. Just don't install anything from a popup in the middle of a page.

I don't trust everything that wants to install. Java is another matter, though I need to be careful of that as well as there is one that is not the legit site.

@just4him Do you really need java? I always hated that flash. There are so many fake sites that say you need to install it. Don't do it except from your control centers on your computers. i have looked in the control panel for stuff like drivers out of date or install java and find out it does not need it.

@akalinus Java comes with the computer. I update the one that comes with the computer, but the fake site I disregard.

All I have had is my darn screen freezing on my hp, and uploading photos. That's enough for me!

@DianneN Yes. So I know there is nothing wrong with it, and I just ran scans last week, a couple times, so I know there aren't any viruses on it. It's been fine today.

Today is good. I've had no redirecting or scams popping up.

They are totally annoying. None today so far for which I'm grateful.

I'm lucky as I haven't had any of those things. They would annoy the heck out of me too.

That's great you aren't experiencing this. I haven't seen it in quite a while, so it popped it's ugly head today.

That kind of sounds like you got a virus, do the screens happen in your browser or just on your desktop screen?

Your question is confusing. It happens while I'm working on my desktop, here on the Internet. It also happened on both Chrome and Firefox.
