Any Adventurous lady who wants to have an Ancient pre-historic baby?

A Professor from Harvard is looking for a lady who is willing to be the surrogate mother of a cloned Neanderthal. It has been 3 years since he made this offer but sadly until now no one volunteers to have a Neanderthal baby to be conceived on their womb. The Professor's name is George Church and volunteers can contact him on his twitter. If Neanderthals were alive today, I wonder if they will be treated like an ethnicity or a different species. It has been hundred thousand years since they got extinct. So we don't really know much about them. If this Neanderthal baby will be born, I wonder if he or she will experience discrimination.
George Church, a genetics professor at Harvard Medical School, believes he can bring back Neanderthals after more than 33,000 years - and is looking for a woman to act as a surrogate mother.

It is believed that most Asians and Europeans have 1 to 4 percent Neanderthal blood because our ancestors interbred with them while leaving the African continent ( we traveled with them together with another group) Africans who did not leave and stayed do not have the gene, source is below
When our ancestors first migrated out of Africa around 60,000 years ago, they were not alone. At that time, at least two other species of hominid cousins walked the Eurasian landmass—Neanderthals and Denisovans. As our modern human ancestors migrated throu

@CaptAlbertWhisker if you still remember our study of biology and the Mendelian theory, we actually have genotypes or genes that are inside us and phenotypes that exhibit as actual physical characteristics. FYI being hairy alone is not an accurate indication, there are other things else and it may surprise you as it had surprised me
by John Worthington for Ancestry - Genealogy & DNA558SHARES Recent genetic studies have shown that Neanderthal DNA spanning at least 20% of their ancient genome survives in modern humans of non-African ancestry.  If you are of European or Asian heritage, t

I have hair arms, chest and stomach,So That must be neanderthal genes, My genepool is Native American, Asian and a bit European with Asian and Native American being dominant. Asians and Native Americans are not known to be hairy.

It could be argued Neanderthals are still born everyday.

You think they were still alive living somewhere hidden?

@CaptAlbertWhisker I was referring metaphorically about people who have "neanderthal" attitudes.

@JohnRoberts Or the fact that, I think, modern humans apparently have a bit of Neanderthal DNA in them.

I actually read a science fiction novel, By Rober J(?) Sawyer where a couple got a Neanderthal baby because a professor did it without their knowledge (they thought he was just going to be a sperm donor).

That sounds like a very intriguing premise. I will look for pdf's of it now.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Admittedly, I've now given away a rather major plot thread!

Good luck with that, but it will be different since this baby might get the education of the modern world.

I know HomoSapiens were said to be smarter than Neanderthals. They dont seemed to be dumb though, they make cave paintings and they hunt with weapons.

quite a curious premise... It might be a different kind of Neanderthal if it was born now...however....we might have to get into biology and brain size to see if they would be capable of doing everything that we do....since it has changed through the centuries. Since we have evolved and now are a completely different species with very different form of intelligence.

From what I know the difference between Neanderthals is like the difference between Wolves and dogs. Wolves and dogs are 2 different species but they were able to breed and have hybrid puppies. I think the baby they will be able to make will not be pure Neanderthal. Asians and Caucasians were said to be part Neanderthal while Africans never encountered them.

Personally I think he has bats in his belfry but then that is just my opinion. However if I was a young woman in my 20s and was offered a million to this and my health was guaranteed I might consider it.

The first time I read about it. It makes me realize nutcases are allowed to graduate in Harvard.
