I've been away for a couple days, but it's time for #8 in my Favorite "Guys Name" Songs series, songs with a guy's name in the title. This distinction belongs to Denver band Tatanka, and their song "Blue Floyd."
Despite them being a Denver band, I pretty much know absolutely nothing about them. Believe me, I've looked. They are
, however, a cool mix of dub reggae, dubstep, and electronics.
"Blue Floyd" is pretty much a perfect example of that description. Beginning as an electronic dub reggae tune, "Blue Floyd" morphs into a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon synthesizer opus, an Alan Parsons Project's "I Robot" gone all trippy.
Yes, they are a local band, but "Blue Floyd" isn't like anything I've ever heard from a Denver area band, and I've followed quite a few of them over the years.

@teamfreak16 I remember I Robot. A friend had Tales of mystery and imagination, so I probably heard that one, too

I heard it on Pandora one night. Was surprised they are from Denver.

OK, I hear the reggae now. Hmm is indeed interesting. Blue floyd is a better name than Pink Floyd, but music goes to Pink Floyd. This was fairly enjoyable though.

You have to admit, part of that does sound like Pink Floyd!
