Whenever I go to a car wash, I remember my friend who I helped get over her fear of going inside to have her car washed. She is not scared of the car wash per se, she is claustrophobic and thus the enclosed and tight space while her car is being wheeled in and cleaned is too much for her. She would usually ask me or another friend or her husband to get her car to the car wash for her. One day, I asked her to come with me to the car wash. Initially, she said no. I managed to convince her that it will be okay and she can just recline the seat and close her eyes if it became too much for her. Surprisingly, she was able to get through the car wash without any problem at all. Since that day, she can now go in the car wash by herself without any issues.
