Did you know that on November 1st , 1800, John Adams moved into the newly completed “President’s House” later called the “White House.” That was over 216 years ago. George Washington never lived in the White House.
The architect of the White House was James Hoban.
Another bit of “political” news from November 5th, 1872. Susan B. Anthony was fined $100 for attempting to vote.
And on November 6th, 1960, Abraham Lincoln was elected as President of the United States.
On November 23rd, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Americans will NEVER forget that day. Most people know exactly where they were when that happened. I know I do.
Veteran’s Day is coming up on November 11th.
These are just a few things that happened in November.
