There are many places in the world where there is natural hot spring. Bakreshwar in West Bengal, India is one such place.
The temperature of the water is around 45 to 48 degree centigrade. Devotees place their feet in the water. The hot water has many healing effects. It is also a religious place having temples of Lord Mahadeva and Sati.

Hot springs are also common in one southern province near Manila. In fact, there are a lot of hot spring resorts there.
Agree, with you about the healing and soothing effect of hot springs to one's aching body.

Also, the hot springs are good for the body, mind, and soul. It has a calming effect to one's weary soul.
