When we finally made it half the destination to the terminal, we couldn't easily hitch a taxi ride because the shuttle unload us on the other side. After a few minutes a Taxi dropped an old man on the u-turn section were we at. Took our chance to him, but he's asking a fare much bigger. usually it's just a dollar, or little bit more. No, this time it was way more and the place isn't even far yet and his meter isn't even on. I gave him the fare he wanted in the end despite our maid pleaded for a bargain. Oh, he was happy that he helped us unload the baggage. What got me furious was him complaining about taking u-turn and making the route longer. Taxi's had become more expensive now and drivers are more greedy than ever.

Yes, some of them are just abusive and greedy. I hope they get penalized for doing something like that.

I can never trust taxis, I know the one we encountered was probably less EVIL @toaqua but I guess were lucky still.

@Letranknight2015 Luckily, I didn't encounter taxi drivers like that in our city. Hopefully not ever. May they have the Karma they deserved for doing those evil things.

I hate riding taxi cabs in Metro Manila because of the greedy drivers.

We have this problem with Auto-rickshaw drivers. 99% of them do not use the meter and just say the amount that they wish to charge for it. Taxi's are better here ..they represent a company and the term and conditions are clear.

Sorry to hear he was complaint and taking the longer route Here many taxis have to fight with companies like über and Lyft (sometimes cheaper than taxis)

It wasn't even that long and his meter wasn't even ON! if only they were other taxi's nearby! well, I don't know uber even though I've heard of it.
