Conor Orr reports the news on Sunday Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo does not want to rock the boat by accepting his role as the second string quarterback behind rookie Dak Prescott for the remainder of the current football season. Romo has been medically cleared to play by the physicians as he has recovered from a back injury that happened during the preseason but Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has insisted that his head coach Jason Garrett will have the final say who will be his stating quarterback of the team. Romo is expected to play the second string role for the Cowboys next Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens visit A T & T Stadium in Arlington Texas on Sunday November 20, 2016. The plan is for Dak Prescott to remain the starting quarterback of the Cowboys as long as he leads to wins and improves their chances to make it to the postseason. The last deal the Cowboys needed this current football season is a quarterback controversy with Romo upset that a rookie quarterback replaced him during the current football season due to an injury. The normal rule of thumb in football is that the starting quarterback can only lose his job due to injury or ineffectiveness.
