Marc Sessler reports the news that Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy on Monday has taken a positive approach to his team losing three straight regular season games to fall one game behind in the National Football Conference North Division standings behind the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.
The Packers (4-5) lost their last football game to the Tennessee Titans (5-5) by a final score of 47-25 at Nissan Field in Nashville Tennessee on Sunday afternoon.
McCarthy admits the road to make the playoffs this year will be "bumpy" since the Packers have seven games left in the regular season schedule to make it to the playoffs this year.
McCarthy claims "I'm not worried about the football team." since he has to maintain a positive attitude if he wants his players to believe him that they can get their act together starting next week when the Washington Redskins (5-3-1) will be hosting the Packers at FedEx Field in Landover Maryland on Sunday Night Football.

I can only hope that those players on IR are back in action. We've had a lot of guys out and we got a couple more injuries in that game, which I hope aren't bad enough to keep them out of the next game too. With that kind of record, I can only hope we can come away with a win against the Redskins and somehow keep our playoff hopes alive. That would be nice. It would be a different kind of year if the Pack isn't in the playoffs.

@Dena91 You are correct. Injuries to the key players have hurt the teams.

The Panthers having their slump this year amazes me since last year they looked super and with confidence.

@Deepizzaguy Yes Sunday was a painful reminder that we aren't who we were last year. Lost it in the final minute by yet another field goal. I think that makes 3 games this year we lost games like that. Our center, right tackle and some others are injured. But last year we had injuries yet the others stepped up and we played well. We're just missing something, that spark of self confidence. Wondering how we will do Thursday against the Saints, who also lost Sunday. Still a fan regardless.

oh wow...I didn't know the skins were on Sunday night football. I will have to watch that game. The pack beat the skins handily last year...but the skins are pretty good...and it should be a good game.

They need to win to stay in the hunt or be just about done.
