1/.
Magpie hide and seek
Spoilt by branches without leaves
Spring brings camouflage
2/.
Whoever declared
Authors must write what they know
Invented blank verse.
3/.
Why does cold depress
When I’m not going outdoors
Away from the fire?
4/.
Books scream ‘read me next’
As I peruse the shelving
Jealous of Voltaire
5/.
Money digs tunnel
Colditz defences broken
Where does it all go?

Me - damn missed Haiku Tuesday. Just saw your name but was more happy I had a notification. Shame on me, downfall of being a loner. "Whoever declared Authors must write what they know Invented blank verse." This should be published and taught in schools. I have and idea what you mean but always up to interpretation at least how I was taught. Kind of seems like the people who teach writing missed the point of writing because writing was meant to learn, not be experts. My take. Am I close?

@crossbones27 that interpretation is as valid as any - my own thinking was that if I had to stick to writing what I know I would be able to write nothing at all - blank as in simply an empty page

@arthurchappell I consider that close because you want to paint youir own picture and love that. That is freedom. People should feel free or nothing at all and kind of get society feels that way.
