Rob Demovsky reports the news on Wednesday the Green Bay Packers who have only rushing touchdown during the current football season which has been done by their quarterback Aaron Rodgers have claimed off the waiver wire former Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael.
Michael was released by the Seahawks on Tuesday. The Packers currently have the services of running back James Starks since Eddie Lacy who is the their running back is currently on the injured reserved list with an ankle injury.
The Packers (4-5) are currently in second place in the National Football Conference North Division standings one game behind the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.
One major problem the Packers have had this winning one football game in their last five games has been the lack of a great running game to assist quarterback Aaron Rodgers not having to throw a lot of passes during football games.
Michael will be the backup running back to Starks next Sunday in Landover Maryland when the Washington Redskins (5-3-1) host the Packers at FedEx Field.
