What do you think of the men who are giving up their jobs to look after their children and home as the wife is in a good position and a higer income earner?

I dont think it is a good idea. I am not old fashioned but man or woman they have to be independent. They shoulnt 100%dependent on their partner for money.Divorces have become common. It is difficult to get jobs when you get old.You may not have any experiance. But both the partners should not be career oriented. It will be nice if one of them is doing a part time job.

Thanks for responding.Yes since divorces are becoming common both need to have experience in the sense you never know what is going to happen tomorrow and cant just afford to take life for granted.I apreciate your suggestion that one takes up a part time.

I think it's great. The first year of my daughters life my husband stayed home with her and I worked. Now he works and I stay home. I think it's good for the child 'cause she gets quality time with an different parent

Thanks for responding. As you say in your case you both took turns to be with the child and thats a different way of looking at it,quality time the child gets to spend with both parents.

I really dislike such men. Its duty of men to look after their faimly and they should earn. I think that men should get marry at that time when they've got good job and can look after their faimly.

Hey I think it is great if they are willing to do it. If the money is coming in then great and if they are doing what they need to do at home awesome

If the wifes income can support the family, and she doesn't mind doing so, I think it's great ! :) I say whatever works for each individual family so that everyone is safe, happy, and well-cared for. What works for my family may not work for yours and vice-versa, so definately whatever works.

I see nothing wrong with it. If anything, its a smart choice financially.

Thanks for responding.Inflation, materialism and the very need to improve the quality of life makes both men and women to go out and strive. Many a time women are higher income earners in that case not to neglect the home and children this sounds as a wise choice.

I think it's great. Whatever works for the family and as long as everyone is being taken care of and are happy, then that's all that really matter in my opinion.
