Last week I posted a photo of my work in progress, Christmas wallhanging.
This morning I finished the beading and now it has been hung on my sewing room door.
The boughs of the Christmas tree are made with Dresden wedges. They were hand appliquéd to a white background. Then the panel was machine quilted on my domestic sewing machine before adding the binding.
Once that part of the work was completed, I added buttons and beads to decorate my tree. Finally the bead chains were added and the wallhanging was finished.
One more decoration is in place

My house is more decorated than it has been in years. I'm making up for last year when there was only the tree and it wasn't up long enough for me to notice it.

Each of my children has their own unique talents. I'm teaching some of my granddaughters to sew. We will see how they progress.

The pattern for something similar was in a quilting magazine a few years ago. I used the basic idea and adapted it to the space I wanted to fill. Then I embellished my wallhanging. It will be entered in the fair next fall.
