I tend to use too many smilies

I tend to use too many smilies when I write. While chatting on whatsapp I use loads of them. Here as well, I think I tend ti use them in replies and all. I used like 2-3 of them in many replies. I like smilies and I think it helps us to express better. But I know some people who really gets frustrated with too much use of smilies. Well... bad for them

Smileys are good, it makes it seem as if you're slightly more interested and you're actually engaged within the conversation to me

We learned to use emoticons with the computers as we don´t converse face to face much anymore. It´s a pity as too many emoticons don´t always mean any emotion.

Yeah.. I do know that. But I think real emotional conversations shouldn't be done through text chatting. Rather a phone call or real conversation would be more suitable. When I chat casually I use emoticons since I think it's fun. Also.. helps the other person understand whether I am kidding or not.

@roshni93 I agree. I don´t even use my FB much. I still think that the phone or inviting my friends is the best way to keep in touch.

That's nice. It means that you are cheerful and it is nothing wrong with it. I also like to use emojis

An occasional smiley is ok. Too many are ridiculous and/or childish.
