Now train tragedy in India

I am really concerned about train accidents of India. I love travelling in trains.. and news of train tragedies force me to think about safety in train travelling.
now got the news Over 60 people dead and 150 injured in Train tragedy near Kanpur, India. Reason : Train derailed :(
Question is how to avoid such tragedies

i know that in India derailments are not rare. but i wonder why such massive number of deaths transpire due to a mere derailment.

@spaceseed Believe it or not, when the show Ice Road Truckers was on, they were in India doing the show and the problems those truckers had was unbelievable.

Its like playing temple run on your mobile phone... you dont know when a vehicle or person appear in front of you from no where :). you must have seen few videos on you tube

There our Inquiry system should be better, point of improvement. I think it should be a part of disaster management
