The culture is keep on shifting in my city and everything is changing. Inflation and working hours cause the whole family structure to be destroyed. 20-30 years ago, we will still have good family time but not now. Since everything seems to be so expensive and the parents need to all go out work for long hours whether they are rich people or poor. The family communication becomes less and the next generation fell communication gap with their parents . Everything turns into more materialistic for the new generation and everybody works to find some ways to earn as much as money as they can in a short period of time in order to buy a house or an apartment for themselves just because the rent in this city is crazy. That's part of the cultural shift in Hong Kong. How about you ? Share with us ?

That is why I love Japan, though they have been into advanced living but the culture and traditions are still there. In our country we have the agency called National Commission for Indigenous People that really guard our cultural.

this is starting to happen in India too. Both young parents going out to work and hiring nannies for their kids.
Everyone thinks success and "good life" is connected to material things...it's sad but what can we tall them? It's their choice.
