After some three weeks, I finally got my ATM Eon Card from UnionBank. It had been there for some weeks, but I was not able to drop by the bank to pick it up. I need it to transfer my online writing earnings which is deposited in my Paypal account. Blame it on my slugginess, and I was thinking that I could not transfer my Paypal funds to it since it is still so small amount. I had to make it bigger to compensate for the transfer charges.

It's more expensive to transfer your earnings to your credit card than to your bank account. Paypal charges a lot that is why at times I prefer sites that pay in bitcoins.

@acelawrites i would like to finish my site and put it in my profiles but no time yet, I would like to teach Filipinos how to bitcoin and altcoin, this is money of the future, transaction is fast and amost no fees, I would like to teach pinoys how to pay their bill using bitcoin and get a rebate, and turn their phone into a " bayad center" etc.. Just too busy right now.. The procedure is really very simple

That's good. I keep my online earning in my Paypal account for use when I have any online transaction...

I have not tried using Paypal to directly pay for some online purchases.

@acelawrites Purchases I made through eBay usually paid by Paypal. I have also purchased mobile recharge credit, movie tickets, airfare/hotel booking, and even Domino's Pizza using my Paypal.

I am happy for you that you finally got your EON card . I am also not withdrawing still my earnings from PayPal since September . I plan to withdraw it by January so it could serve as a good luck for the year 2016 . Besides , i don't want to be charged for so little an amount when i withdraw it on a monthly basis .

I could not withdraw on a monthly basis because I have nothing to withdraw since it is only myLot that I am earning from now. I just withdrew to take the opportunity of the high exchange rate (Php50:$1) though their rate is only P48 plus. I used by BPI account because I could not register my Unionbank EON visa card.

Aside from the P50 Paypal charge, does your bank also charge you for the transfer of funds? My bank charges me P110 everytime, and Paypal charges P50 if below P7k, so that's a total of P160 per transaction that is deducted.

@brokenbee i think for regular online earners, eon is better. isn't there a branch near you so you can open an account? when it's time to withdraw, just go to a bdo atm.

@acelawrites Really? P200? Whoa! That's too much. It should only be P50 for fund transfers below P7k.

I know Paypal charges me some Php200 if I transfer below $100. But the bank does not. Our friends here say we should not use the 12-digits acct. no. when transferring from Paypal to our local bank accct., and to use the lesser digits in the atm card instead. I haven't tried it.

It is because we can not directly use Paypal funds to pay for some goods or services here locally. But we can use it if we purchase online.
