I got it from a spider bite that went really fast. I thought I was going to lose my whole foot, but mostly just the muscle. This disease is showing up more and more in sport injuries too. Have you ever had it eat you up ? It's a horrible infective disease.

This disease is becoming a LOT more prevalent, in a lot more areas. My children were out of school on Friday because of two cases among students....and today my daughter has a rash all over her body that we are taking her to the doctor to have checked. It's frightening!!

Wow! I can't believe you got this horrible blood disease from a spider bite. My son's had it since he was 1yrs. I don't know how he got it. I was told dirty environment is one way to get it. another way is to touch someone who has a wound that is open and they have it. So I have always believed my son got it from the first day care he went to. He's only been to two day cares in his life. The first one looked clean but smelled horrible. Also they had lice all the time there I am glad I finally got him out of there. then the second day care he got extremely sick all the time, that he had to be in the hospital for days to a week. So now I truly believe my son has a low immune system. He hasn't had a break out of this horrible blood disease since March of this year.
