I think reading will definitely help in learning poems. Can you suggest some poems. Because I want to start from less reading stuff.

This is a painful process that can cure writer's block. Avoid TV, Internet and any kind of media with pictures. Just read a book, a novel or non fiction may do. Reading literature and avoiding media for a week will boost your creativity.

I think you can improve your writing skill the same way you can improve a language:
- by reading, you'll learn different words, styles and expressions;
- by reading, again, because you'll get inspired to write your own poems;
- by writing, because you'll search for synonyms, rhymes and practice makes you (almost) perfect somehow.
There are many different styles, I learned them at school but I don't remember much.
I personally like the old style, rhymes and same number of syllables for each line.
Some people like to use words to make shapes, surely modern.
