I can't believe what Marvel is doing to The X-Men...

So I recently learned that Marvel is killing off The X-men from this video:
And I also got some speculation on why. And in my professional opinion as an entrepreneur, it's one of the dumbest things Disney and Marvel can do. I can understand canceling books that don't sell, as it's a wasted investment, but diminishing the capacity of a franchise because a competing studio owns a portion of the rights that in no way effect the primary form of the I.P.? It's beyond stupid in my opinion. And then you've got Disney and Marvel trying to popularize the Inhumans ever since their introduction in Agents Of Shield, which they don't need to kill off the X-men in order to do.
But I might as well grin and bear it. For now...
So the X-Men are in trouble, they're facing a threat unlike anything they've ever gone up against. Not Magneto, not Apocalypse, not Sentinels, no, now they f...

To make it worst all those Fox X-men movies are crap and disrespectful to the source material. Why can't Marvel just buy the shares back from Fox so they can own the IP 100 percent again.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I can forgive the movies diverging a bit, but Marvel and Disney not taking advantage of that on comic creating side baffles me.
Like:"Hey, if you don't like the films maybe comics are more your thing," kind of deal. This shouldn't be that hard as the X-men cartoons and comics best the films anyway.

@Hanyouyomi I just found out there might be no X-men characters for Marvel vs Capcom 4 aka Marvel vs Capcom infinite. :(
I mained Rogue in X-men Vs Street Fighter
Storm is a top tier character in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and 3.
Wolverine is a fan favorite on that series.
I main Magneto and X-23 in marvel vs capcom 3.

@CaptAlbertWhisker And the stupidity increases... I wish you hadn't told me this because now I'm investigating it. I hope these rumors aren't true, though since they're killing off the mutants in the comics of course they'd diminish their presence everywhere else. Do I need to iterate how dumb this is business wise?
