Confusion about TIME of your country.

November 26, 2016 10:33am CST
Many people on Mylot says " Good morning " to mylotters. I have doubt if they are Americans then I would have to say good morning or good evening as I am in India. I prefer to say good morning to them as I have no idea about it . What would you say if you are on one side of the earth where there is night or evening and the person from other side where there is daytime or morning says you good morning. Also I say you "Good night as it is 10:00 pm in India. Enjoy

"Good day" should cover all eventualities (even night time) but, really, it's not appropriate to use that kind of greeting on an international forum, especially where responses may not be instant.

I think anything you say, it's okay. You have been polite...if not accurate! And that counts!

Where's the problem? This is an international site. So whatever you say, it's right for someone. :-)

I say good morning when the sun is waking me up in my country. But I´m aware that for other people it is goog night and they will reply that way. The same thing happens with meals. Some of us are having breakfast and others dinners.

The time doesn't matter. Only the message does. So I always post Good morning when it is morning here. :)

As a matter of choice, I chuckle, and repeat whatever is MY time. I am sure by the time you receive this it will be appropriate. As I am awake now, you are sleeping...also one day ahead of me!.
