Oh hi! Hope everyone is doing well, on this fine Sunday late night! On to the next song.
The band, Stone Temple Pilots. They formed in San Diego, in 1989, and were active from then, until 2002.. And then picked things back up in 2008, and are presently active. The band has had two different singers in its history. One was Scott Weiland, who passed away, at the end of 2015, of a drug overdose. The most recent singer for the band, was Chester Bennington, of Linkin Park fame. The song, in the title of this post, is linked below. Hope you all like it (if you have not heard it before!)

How do they sound with the new singer? I guess he cannot be any worse than Scot when he is going through his struggles

@mawdest People do not think about when a component gets changed in a band like that. I always like to use Nirvana or Sublime. You lose such a key piece that it is just not the same. There is really a backbone of things, not that they were better, just sometimes people really only truely mesh with certain people. Some are so talented that they can go other places, most are not, unless they know more people just like them. Another reason I like punk because they really do seem to get one another.

I didn't think they sounded particularly great with the most recent singer, the dude from Linkin Park, who isn't with them anymore.. Chester, but yeah haha maybe eh. I know when I saw STP in around 2009, Scott was singing really well with them.. Then like 2 or 3 years later, when I saw them, didn't sound so great (like you say, with him going through the struggles).

Oh really? The music master got something past him? Haha kidding man.. Fair enough. Yeah it was only for about 2/3 years. It's always good to learn something new :) I learn something new every day with the songs you and others post on here too, so I am grateful for that!

Had 'Core' when it was first released and I wore out that out because I played it too much. Got a chance to watch Stone Temple Pilots when they performed here in Manila.
One of the better concerts I've seen in my life.

Oh man, I love the album "Core" but my favourite by the band is "No. 4" even though it is kind of hard for me to choose cause I love pretty much all of their albums.. Even though each of their albums there are a few mediocre or sappy songs I could do without lol.
That's amazing! I am glad you got the chance to see them live. Was it with Weiland singing or Bennington from Linkin Park? I got to see STP play twice, once at a casino and it wasn't that good.. in 2011, and in 2009, outdoors.. That concert was REALLY good though, so glad I got to see Scott Weiland!

STP is one of the great 90s bands. Good choice.
