Taj mahal - is it really a symbol of love

Every body consider Taj mahal as a great monument. but story associated with is about love. But I think, Its not the case. It was just a king's wish to be remembered by the world for centuries, what do you say?

It was an expression of love of the king to her wife actually , as i have read . It's really a work of love .

I am not sure wheather it was what. But its beauty is amazing. and when I visited and had a guided tour .came to know much more about its architecture. I was really impressed, Its base is built in such a way that it gets strength from water from river yamuna.
