Simply put, I love hockey. I'm pretty much obsessed with it, especially the Colorado Avalanche. Which is the basis for this series. We're at #6, Scott Parker. Scott Parker was a right winger, but face it. He was an enforcer. His job was to fight. And he was really good at his job. Parker played in the NHL for ten years, five of which were with the Avalanche. In that five year period, Parker played in 210 games, scoring just five goals, but he racked up 467 penalty minutes. He won a bunch of fights and he lost a lot of them. But he was always ready to drop the gloves at a moments notice. He was a member of Colorado's 2001 Stanley Cup winning team. Scott Parker had a running feud with fellow enforcer Donald Brashear. I once attended a game, Avalanche VS Vancouver, and the two dropped them during the opening faceoff. The refs stopped it, giving both two minute roughing minor penalties. No problem. They fought as soon as they left their respective penalty boxes. That set the tone for what turned out to be a very entertaining game. Man, was he fun to watch.

Never get in the face with a league leader in penalty minutes!

Once a team was taking cheap shots at Peter Forsberg. Coach put Parker out for Forsberg's next shift. The dirty stuff immediately stopped.
