Even though the University of Oregon fired their coach Mike Helfrich on Tuesday after he coached the football team from 2013-2016, the chances that the coach that he succeeded Chip Kelly denies he will be coaching the Ducks football program in 2017. Kelly is in first year as head coach of the 49ers who have only one football game in 11 tries in the current football season. Kelly was the head coach of the Oregon Ducks college football program from 2009-2012 before he resigned to become the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles before the start of the 2013 football season. Kelly was the head coach of the Eagles from 2013-2015 before he was fired at the end of the 2015 football season when the Eagles ended that season with a record of seven wins and nine losses. Kelly did say he had a chat with Helfrich after he was fired on Tuesday but he has no plans to succeed his former offensive coordinator next year. Kelly is concerned to get his players ready for the next football game next Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago Illinois versus the Chicago Bears who have won only two games and lost nine games during the current football season, It is not clear if the 49ers intend to bring back for his second season in 2017 or replace him with another football coach at the end of the current football season at this time.

It appears Kelly is better in the college ranks than in the pros.

I agree with you. Kelly is just a caretaker in the pros while in college he can be a father figure to teens in college.
