University of Central Florida head coach Mark Forst, 41, does not intend to leave the Knights football program to replace recently fired University of Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich who was terminated this week by the powers that be in Oregon after he coached the team from 2013-2016. Frost was the offensive coordinator of the Ducks from 2013-2015 before he accepted the head coaching job at the University of Central Florida football program before the start of the 2016 football season. Frost led the Knights to a six wins and six losses record in his first year of coaching the team. Frost is making a smart decision to stay put with the Knights program. The Ducks do not intend to hire a new coach to replace Helfrich by hiring a coach from the current coaching staff hence the desire to have Frost on their wish list of coaches.

I think if there was a serious offer, Frost would go to Oregon.

You are correct. He would succeed his former his boss Mark Helfrich at Oregon.
