National Fritters Day

It's Friday, December 2nd 2016! Today is also National Fritters Day. I've never had a fritter before so I don't know what they are like but I've seen the picture. If you don't know what a fritter is it's a fries cake or donut filled with fruit or meat on the inside. I guess one day I'll try a fritter.

There are a heck of a lot of different fritter types. Pretty much anything if you think about it could be in a fritter. I think the only type I've had is pineapple.

I remember when we were younger my mom made corn fritters. They weren't too bad. My favorite though at the apple fritters at a local coffee shop.

Years ago, I had a recipe for corn fritters and would make it often. My husband and kids & I loved it.
