Do You Have A Special Talent?

We all have talents of some kind. Really! It’s true! You may not recognize your talents easily, but if you think about it, there is always something that you know how to do well.
Some have talents that are easily recognized: like playing a musical instrument or being an artist of some kind. Drawing, painting, sculpture, for instance. Some are good organizers, writers, dancers, singers, speakers, cooks and many other talents.
Do you recognize what your talents are?
Also, is there a talent that you WISH you had?
For me, I wish that I could play different musical instruments. I can play the piano and the guitar, but I’m out of practice on both. I’ve always wanted to be able to play the banjo and I probably could, if I had a banjo and I practiced every day.

Bon jour! Je suis tres heureux de vous rencontrer. Patience is a virtue. That's true. I'm sure you will figure out what your talents are. Think about it? One talent you have is obvious to me. You speak at least two languages probably. Am I right? Not many people in this world can do that.

@IreneVincent You are a flatterer. I was bilingual at birth, French/Occitan, which is a Southern French language not far from Spanish. I never learned how to write Occitan, but I can speak it : if it is a talent, I am a talented illiterate

I think that one can be gifted to do something (it is indeed better to have a good ear to play music), but that "talent" is often a synonym of "lot of hard work"

@topffer I do have a good ear for music. Have you ever visited youtube? You can hear me sing there. I had my song recorded a couple years ago at a karaoke bar and it's not perfect, but not bad for a one time chance to record with a sound track.

Did you hear my song on youtube? Go there and type in my name: Alice Henry and you will hear my song. It's not perfect. I hear my mistakes, but it's not bad for being recorded one night at a karaoke bar.

@ms1864 I have sang on stage since I was a child. In my teens and twenties I sang with live bands and even on TV. Now I am much older. I can still sing but my years of performing are over. I still sing at karaoke establishments when I get the opportunity though.
