Becoming a Coupon Queen

THE PROOF

So today I had one of my favorite cousin(Catherine), teach me the basics of becoming a coupon queen. Apparently there are many sites and blogs that teaches how to become a coupon expert and save money. Some people have even saved thousands of dollars a year with this method. So Today’s challenge is to go to CVS and get a CVS rewards card. You purchase a MUA lipsticks (makeup academy is the brand). The original cost is $8.00+ but with a rewards card you pay 6.40. The cashier will give you a $5.00 cash buck receipt and with that you buy another one and pay $1.40 at which time the cashier will give you another $5.00 cash buck receipt and you repeat the transaction a third time. In the end you purchase 3 lipsticks for only $4.20 and you get back a $5.00 cash buck receipt that you can use to purchase something else. I’m starting to love this couponing life. If you have any experience with couponing I look forward to hearing your story and learning some tips from you. If you are new to coupon and want more information just comment and I will get you started. See You At the Top!

@PatZAnthony I'm new to this and just learning the basics. I made my first coupon purchase today and can't wait to do it again. I think I'm getting hooked already! Do you have any tips you think I should know?

@Jackalyn I will message you a website that teaches you the ins and outs of coupons. But the idea is to get manufacturer coupon and combine them with the store coupons on the day the store items go on sale you purchase the items for pennies on the dollars. Some people has even managed to get the items for free. I'm not there yet, but I will work my way up to that level. I will keep record of my progress in this forum so keep on the look out for it. Hope this helps you

Sounds interesting although a Mua lipstick is £1 here so I think it would not be worth the bother. I am sure there are other bargains to be had.

Don't forget to scan your ExtraBucks card at the in-store kiosk, too. That will give you more coupons and occasional rewards to redeem.

@Millionairemindset Really easy, you just walk up to the kiosk in the store and scan your card, then it prints your coupons.

I am.very keen on reward cards, coupons and vouchers. Sadly last Monday I didn't have the voucher with me that would have saved £6 on a £42 supermarket bill. That hurt!

@asfarasiknow yeah I noticed that it takes work and time to organize the coupons and figure out the sale dates of different places. Since I am new at this I'm not sure how I'll manage, but I will try my best not to drop the ball and please feel free to post any tips that might be helpful to me.

@asfarasiknow someone told me to keep a binder or an envelope in my car so that I can keep track of and also have access to the coupons at all times. At first I thought that it was a bit extreme but after my experience today I might take the advice. I don't know if this can work for you as well.

wow...the couponing system is not so profitable here...where i am at...maybe just a discount here and there...if we get too many things cheap...we need to worry about quality here.

@ms1864 sorry to hear that, apparently it's a big thing in the States. We have everything from websites, blogs, newspaper social media etc... every where there is an opportunity for coupon and the savings are big. I heard of people getting free items and paying it forward and using what they got to help the needy. It's amazing the things coupon does here. If you ever get the chance to visit the US I invite you to try it.
