I couldn't open a single jar in my house. I felt so very, very weak. I just couldn't understand why I suddenly had no hand strength. "What is going on?", I thought. I even googled symptoms, and scared the crap out of myself wondering what sort of ailment I'm going to have to deal with now. Then, I saw it. My fourteen year old son, straining and red faced, screwing the lid back on the pickle jar, as tightly as he could. It turns out that, for him, the age of fourteen has heralded the need for great shows of machismo.....like screwing the lids on the jars so tightly that his poor little old mother has to ask him for help getting into them. Well......at least now I know I'm not crazy.
