Ken Rosenthal reports the news on Tuesday the Boston Red Sox have reached a one year, agreement with free agent first baseman Mitch Moreland. The amount of his salary was not reported by Rosenthal on his Twitter account since Moreland has to have a physical exam for the deal to be completed. Moreland, 31, played his entire in the Major Leagues with the Texas Rangers from 2010-2016 before his current contract expired at the end of the 2016 baseball season. The addition of Moreland in the Red Sox lineup will increase the chances of the team who will enter the 2017 baseball season as the defending American League East Champions to make another playoff run.

The Sox aren't fooling around especially after the Sale trade. Surprised Moreland didn't stay in Texas. And I don't think the Sox are done dealing.
