Sculpey Premo! 12 Classic Color Sampler

A few weeks ago I purchased a couple of “sight unseen” boxes of craft items. The person listed it on one of the upcycle boards but didn't want to be bothered listing everything and selling a couple items at a time. She wanted to invest in a large order of colored glass for her stained glass business and didn't have time for the other crafts she'd been into in the past. I had limited exposure to oven-baked clay but never really got hooked on it. The box of the Premo Classic Sampler was unopened but they were only one ounce blocks, most of the standard blocks are 2 ounces. Each are individually wrapped but because this isn't a water based clay, it won't dry out or harden if left out. It does need to be baked once you are satisfied with it so make sure you give yourself enough time to bake them and let them cool. The colors are not bold but I wouldn't call them classic either. They are sort of odd ball colors but can add a lot of color depth to whatever you are working on. The twelve colors in this sampler include: cobalt blue, orange, green, gold, red, silver, yellow, orange, black, burnt umber, gray and cadmium red. Since opening this box and using some of the colors I've bought some more regular Sculpey (not Premo!) and have been playing around with it. There are so many helpful tutorials on YouTube so when I get frustrated or can't figure out a design there's always something there to help me out. Photo: Sculpey
