Favorite Avalanche Players #2 - Patrick Roy

Let's get down to it bopper's. #2 in my Favorite Avalanche Players series is legendary Goalie Patrick Roy.
Patrick Roy (pronounced "Wah") played in 478 games with the Avalanche. During those 478 games, he won two Stanley Cups, one Conn Smythe trophy (playoff MVP,) and his #33 hangs from the rafters of the Pepsi Center, where the Avalanche play (he is one of only six NHL players to have his number retired by two different teams. His number also hangs in Montreal.) He is in the Hockey Hall of Fame, the QMJHL Hall of Fame, and the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame.
During his time with the Avalanche, Roy won 262 games and lost 121.
My favorite Roy moment? During a Colorado - Detroit bloodbath, Roy fought Red WIngs goalie Mike Vernon at center ice. I had never seen a goalie fight before.
The Colorado Avalanche retired Roy's No. 33 jersey on October 28, 2003.

For awhile, he was thought as the best, until Martin Broduer broke all of his records.

The cool thing about that fight is that it was Vernon's 300th win. At the end of the game, Roy slid the game puck down to him so he could keep it.
