I have tried it, and not really that good with it. If you are a good swimmer, I think you will enjoy it. I think trying new things is a good idea. Hope you enjoy it.

Hi Janice you dont need to be a great swimmer to scuba dive. it truly is an amazing thing to do and you should try it even if only once in a swimming pool.

I scuba dived on an IFS trip to the Bahamas back in 1971. That's the only time I did and I absolutely fell in love with it. We were given basic instructions in the boat and told to fall off backward. I had trouble getting myself to do it so I got pushed off the boat and there I was in the water. My fear only lasted a moment, driven away by the beauty under the crystal blue water. I will probably never get the chance to scuba dive again but it remains one of my most treasured and pleasurable memories!

No, I've never wanted to learn it. Snorkeling is ok but not going down into the depth. I suffer from claustrophobia and I'm sure it would hit me underwater, too.

If I had a $ for ever time someone said that I would be a rich man. Once you see how clear the water is and the beautiful fish there are you won't want to come back up.

@JonathanNash Well, if you say so, I have to believe you. You're the expert. But it's all theory for me. I'm too old now. I won't even get to Thailand during my remaining years.
