Gave up hope

So for the passed 6 years I been trying to get in touch with my two brothers and my parents and as of yesterday I gave up all hope to make mends with them. My family disowned me back in 2010 when my 2 oldest children went into adoption. Ever since I would speak to them only when I saw them in my town. It has been a little over 6 years and yesterday I messaged me mom on Facebook and not even one minute later...she blocks me. Now I have no way to contact any of my family members of my family. But on the bright side, at least some of my family through the blood line didn't give up on me....I will never know to this day why my parents officially never wanted to make mends but it is their loss.

@carebear29 I feel the same way you do when it comes to my kids. Since my divorce my ex-husband turned them against me I don't talk to them much.

It is their loss. Why did you have to give your oldest children for adoption? Have you kept in touch with them in any way?

I think it is sad that they made that choice. We all do things in life that our parent may not approve up but I don't understand just disowning your child and never finding it in your heart to forgive them. Yes it is their loss. You have a beautiful little boy that they are missing out on getting to know too.

It is sad to hear but don't worry. Always look for the brighter side and take up the good things as much as possible. They will understand you one day.
