Your purchase has been cancelled...

A few days ago, I decided to buy an item on Ebay which is supposed to be a present for my husband. Today afternoon, I logged in my account to have a check and I saw that I received a message. Checking up its content I was surprised. The purchase has been cancelled buy the seller and I will get a refund of the price I paid. But, there was no explenation why it was cancelled. So I wrote to the seller to find out the reason. Now, I have to wait for his answer. The only reason I could find is that the item is located in England and I am living in Spain. Even though, the seller is offering international shipping.

There are lots of reasons these things happen. I remember when I was selling my things to pay my divorce attorney I listed a CD for sale and it sold. I had to cancel the sale and refund the buyer because just before I packed it in the envelope I looked inside and the CD was gone! Maybe something like this happened or the merchandise got damaged somehow. I hope you have time to get another gift for your husband!

@Meramar I did contect the buyer and tell him what happened. Strangely enough, he was in England like your seller! He was skeptical at first but mostly disappointed. We ended the transaction on good terms.
