University of Cincinnati is expected to hire Ohio State University defensive coordinator Luke Fickell to replace Tommy Tuberville who resigned at the end of the 2016 college football season after the Bearcats ended the season with a record of 4-8 after he coached the football team since 2012. Fickell has head coaching experience since he was the interim head coach of the Ohio State University in 2011 since former Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel resigned during that football season during an investigation by the NCAA. Fickell led the Buckeyes to 6-7 season record in 2011 before Urban Meyer succeeded him as the head coach of the team in 2012. It is not clear if Fickell will remain with the Buckeyes football program when the Buckeyes take on the Clemson Tigers in the Fiesta Bowl on December 31, 2016 in Glendale Arizona or will another coach replace him in that bowl game.

Hard to say if this guy is the answer to turning around the program.

A six win season as the interim coach of the Buckeyes also raised my eyebrows why the Bearcats hired him as well.
