We still don't have any snow, but this photo reminds me that winter is on its way.
We knew it was going to be cold. This Arctic Blast came into our area last night and really cooled things down. My pellet stove ran all night.
I still have it on now, but will shut it down later to clean out the ash, since it’s been running over 48 hours now. There isn’t much ash but the fire box needs to be clean for maximum efficiency.
Monday it is supposed to be much warmer, in the 60s. I really don’t like cold weather. Do you? Most people don’t, I think.

I came across another post that I had made on another site on November 23, 2014. It says: "it was 19 degrees when I got up this morning. Brrrr. It feels like an early winter, but I'm hoping for an "Indian Summer." That's when it warms up and stays that way for a couple weeks this time of the year. It's my favorite season:."
I thought it was unusual that the post I found had the same temperature as today, two years later. I had titled it "Lovely Weather For Penguins."

It must be warmer in Oregon than I imagined. What is your coldest temperatures in winter usually. And do you get much snow or any snow where you live. I know the mountains get snow. Or I guess they do.

I just found a list of Mountains that I had written down for a post I did about Oregon. I found about 50 named mountains, mountain ranges and hills. Do you live on the coast? I think you told me that.
Are you familiar with all these mountains. Wow! Hagerhorst Mountains, Mosquito Mountain, Sheepshead Mountains, Whiskey Hills, Coyote Hills, There were so many and the pictures did show snow on the mountains.
