It's no secret that I love sports. Anyone that knows me can verify this. So far, I've counted down my favorite Raiders and Avalanche players. It's time to move on to basketball with a series on my Favorite Lakers Players, starting at #10, Nick Van Exel. Nick Van Exel played in the NBA for 13 seasons, five of which were with the Los Angeles Lakers. Nicknamed "Nick the Quick," Van Exel played an exciting, fast style of basketball. During his stint with the team, he made one All Star team as well as the NBA All Rookies Second Team. Van Exel played 378 games as a Laker. He averaged 14.9 points per game, and 7.3 assists per game. He is, according to Wikipedia, second all time to Kobe Bryant in Lakers three point goals with 750. (Fun Wikipedia Fact: Van Exel was the last Laker to score in the old Boston Garden.) What can I say? I loved watching the guy play. I wore his #9 jersey everytime the Lakers came to Denver.

You're talkin' my team here. This will be interesting. Nick the Quick was sort of a victim of the Phil-Kobe-Shaq triangle combine and gave way to Derek Fisher. I like him though.

@teamfreak16 I am amazed you made it a top 10 list because it can easily be 20!

@JohnRoberts - It honestly could! I kept it guys I actually remember watching (I don't remember watching Elgin Baylor, for instance.) Ten was hard. I tried every way possible to fit Jamaal Wilkes in and just couldn't.
