parents of autistic children! and others!

im just curious as to what autistic people are like when they get older... i've never met any. my 9 year old is autistic, and though i've met many other children with the disorder, i havent met anyone older than him.. any tid bits you could offer me would be welcome.. I do know that everyone is different.. It would be nice to know if there is any autistic adults who live alone or are able to take care of themselves..
