My Weekend (12/09-11/16)

Had a pretty good weekend, with the exception of my Internet. Friday: 1. Found a $50 winning lotto ticket. 2. Went to celebrate at the new Pei Wei Asian restaurant, that was just built. I thought they were open. Found out that they were only open to the families of the employees that were hired, and a few businesses who were given reservations. Spoke to the marketing manager, who gave me a menu so I could order ahead of time on Monday, when they do open. However, asked me to wait until he got back. He spoke to the General Manager (must have made some form of positive impression on him) who decided to allow me to come in, and join the rest of them. (I never asked...) I was told that I could get an entree, appetizer, and drink. When I placed the order it came to $21... Then I was told that it was on the house! I did not have to pay for it! Other folks that were dropping by, were just getting a menu with a statement from the marketing manager, that they would be open on Monday. I am the only one they invited in for a free meal. Talk about God's favor! Saturday: 1. Before I toss the lotto tickets I find away, I scan them. I have learned from previous experiences, that even though I may look at them after the orginal owner does, I can still miss them too... I was collecting a haul, and decided to start checking them. Yesterday I grabbed a handful out of a bag that I had in the backseat of my car, and found $20 that I missed the first time I looked at it. Yay! People don't realize how easy it is to miss winning numbers. 2. Went to the Bethlehem walk in Ponte Vedra Beach Saturday night. Was pretty cool. You really felt that you were back at the temple during Jesus day. They had Roman soldiers yelling that we had to pay our taxes. A couple of them blocked us from coming in for a few minutes until they thought we did. LOL There were poor people on the ground begging for shekels. Merchants selling products. Camels and other live animals. I ate bread they made back in their day. I mistakenly in one of the bowls ate the dough, that had not been cooked yet. One guy next to me said: "lady you are eating the raw dough"... I spit it out after I realized it. LOL The only thing I did not like, was there were too many Roman soldiers yelling for their taxes. It was kind of annoying. However, there were some people behind me who thought the same thing, but one girl spoke up that they were that way in Jesus day, and they were portraying an "exact" experience. This is what the townspeople had to deal with on a regular basis, so we needed to...too. And she was right. The line for the nativity manger was so long, that I did not go in. I could still see it. The line was mainly for those who wanted to take pictures. At the end, there was hot chocolate, and any flavor cookie we wanted to have, waiting for us. Again... Pretty cool experience. Sunday: 1. So far I am just sitting here in Publix on the Internet, since I have issues with mine right now. 2. One of the handles on my reading glasses broke. When I get home, I will have to super glue the arm open, so it does not fall off my head. The clasp broke, so I can not put a new needle in the arm. Only solution is to super glue the arm open, until I can get another pair. *I hope my day ends on a high note, because Sunday has been the worst of all the days this weekend, so far. All in all... I've had a pretty good weekend. Feel blessed. :)
