The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Sunday have traded right handed pitchers Austin Adams and Kyle McGowin to the Washington Nationals for infielder Danny Espinosa.
Espinosa had he stayed with the Nationals during the 2017 Major League Baseball season would have played in an utility role with the team.
With the Angels he will likely be playing second base for the team working with shortstop Andrelton Simmons in the middle of the infield in 2017.
Espinosa was not happy being demoted to a reserve player role next baseball season which was a reason he was traded to the Angels on Sunday for two pitchers of the Angels organization.

An opportunity was created and the Angels seized upon it. The Nats just wanted to dump him and the Angels gave up 2 not so promising arms. Good move.

At least Danny will have more chances to play for his new team.
