drinking for one

I need to drink more.
Not alcohol, although I could happily follow the herd and fall asleep with something warm in my belly.
No, I need to drink more water during the day. Well, I suppose any liquid would suffice really. I often find I don't have time to drink, or I'm worried about drinking because then I'll have to leave a lesson to have a widdle, and if the tutor is talking everyone will turn to look at me and I'll have to say, in front of a class of teenagers, I'm just going for a widdle, if you please. And then, if I drink too much I might need another widdle when I get to the Quaint Historic Market Town where Husband works and the public toilets at the bus station there are cold and made of concrete. I mean, literally made of concrete. With no seat or lid. Just a cold, green, concrete toilet on which to perch. Who on earth came up with that idea! I am shivering just contemplating it. Plus, they're stinky and make me feel unclean.
See how anxious it makes me?
I am looking at my water bottle now, contemplating having a swig. I will have a swig, or maybe a guzzle.
And now I must go, for a lesson of IT awaits me. Exciting.

When I see people with a bottle of water surgically attached to their hand I often wonder how often they must go for a wee. If I drank the recommended daily amount of water I would spend more time in the toilet than doing anything else!!

I am that person with a constant companion in the form of a bottle of water. I still forget to drink it though!

@Poppylicious I believe the trick is to take small sips on a regular basis. That way you're not introducing more water than your body can handle in one go. Apparently you don't wee as much. I've tried that. Doesn't work. But maybe it's just my age!!

@poppylicious those concrete toilets made me giggle -they look so ridiculous. What was their designer thinking?

I think their designer had a vendetta against people who need to go to the loo!

we should drink plenty of fluids - it is dangerous to dehydrate too much

Some places have really nice ones. I really rate Cambridge public toilets highly!

Nowhere near that much. I had a splitting headache yesterday afternoon, which was definitely due to barely drinking. I drank twice as much at work today, but it's still not enough!

yes ma'am, we all need to drink more (i'm startin' to lean towards the 'heavy schtuff', though've yet to partake..), but sometimes 'tis diff'cult.
still tryin' to wrap my head 'round the 'cold, green, concrete' loo. i shudder to think!
big hugs!

A hole in the ground would be preferable to a concrete bog! And warmer, no doubt.
