I broke down and visited my doctor today. As some of you know, I have no insurance so I rarely see my doctor. She gave me a prescription for a once a day inhaler that contains steroids and would clear up my breathing problems, hopefully. I left with a couple weeks' worth of samples and a coupon from the manufacturer for free product for 12 months. She also increased the dosage of my blood pressure medicine. My blood pressure has gotten worse, not better, since I quit smoking. It's nice that the manufacturer of my medicine helps out its customers. I guess they are aware that there are those that can't afford them. Did you know that these manufacturers have programs to help people afford their medications? In the brief questionnaire when I was activating the coupon it made sure that I was not on any government program and did not have insurance.
