Such blessings arrive with wishing words of Good Cheer from friends across the ocean that it makes my heart warm inside. My friend from Michigan who has just returned from lots of travel to Toyoko and Hawaii sent me a parcel of goodies for 2017. A delightful Christmas card, a 2017 Calendar and a long, long letter of the travels in 2016. I love to get these kind of surprises and soon my Christmas Card string will be full. I would love to share the wonderful stamps that came on the parcel - Roger knows that I love stamps! Another bit of interesting news is that my friend who was LOST in the Himalayas - has been found - well her remains have been found and she has now been legally declared dead in the plane crash. More on this later.

It must be a blessing for your friend's family that her body was found.

@Inlemay I absolutely agree with you. I feel the same about the families trying to bring the bodies out of a mining disaster we had here. I'd rather leave them there in the familiar place.

it was almost a year to the day - there is so much red tape trying to get her body home - apparently the Nepal people believe that the body should remain in the sacred place of the mountains - Which in a way I agree. They are going to airlift her remain out from the wreckage site and cremate before returning home - what is the point - SHE Went there to find some kind of Spiritual Peace ??? we need to write our wishes down so that family dont mess with our deaths - just saying

Now for them to go to Nepal and bring her home - that will be sad, but they have to wait for clear days before they can airlift her bony remains out the mountains.

Your reference to a Christmas card string takes me back some 50 years to when I lived with my parents. My mother always had string strewn across the walls to hang cards. Of course this is back in the days when people would send out truckloads of cards every year.

Oh my. I am glad you are getting post, but it is sad to hear about your friend who went to the Himalayas. At least her family can have some closure.
