The Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday have signed former Minnesota Twins left handed starting pitcher Tommy Milone to a one year contract. The financial details were not announced by the Brewers management. Milone 29, has pitched in the Major League Baseball level with the Washington Nationals (2011), the Oakland Athletics (2012-2014) and the Minnesota Twins (2014-2016). Milone was optioned to the Twins AAA minor league team the Rochester Red Wings on October 17, 2016 but he chose to enter the free agent market the next day. Milone will be useful for the Brewers as a left handed starting and relief pitcher for the National League Central Division team in 2017.

The non-contending teams are signing pitchers to one year deals.

It is kind like an audition for Milone to see if he can get his best years back for a rebuilding team on a one year deal.
