Day 99
Proverbs 14:22
Proverbs 14:22 Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
No matter how much a person tells themselves they won’t get caught when they do something they shouldn’t, they always do. It might not be right away, but eventually they will get caught for their misconduct. However, when you live your lives according to the law, you will never have anything to worry about, good will always come to you.
As king, Solomon saw many people who devised wickedness against his throne. Though his reign was a peaceful one, it wasn’t without enemies.
Today, evil abounds on every continent, in every city, in most families. There is always someone who intends harm, even death to those who are different from them. As Christians, you need to know how to deal with the forces of wickedness.
Paul showed that all wickedness was not against flesh and blood.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV)
Therefore, the only way we can fight and defeat this wickedness is with our armor on.
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
We are not to run and flee from our enemy, but we are to stand in our armor. Our armor is the Word of God, his righteousness, faith, truth, peace, salvation, and prayer.
Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (KJV)
When you do that, no weapon formed against you will prosper.
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, says the LORD.
When you do all you can with the Holy Spirit working in and with you, Satan will flee from you.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (KJV)
Solomon knew how to defeat his enemies, and so do we when we follow God’s plan for our lives.
Let’s pray: Father, help me stand in my armor against Satan and all the wickedness he devises against me. Help me show your good to everyone I meet so they will know you are at work in me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Persons sometimes backslide and leave their armor behind -- then it is retrieved when trouble comes knocking. Could someone who is inconsistent in their beliefs and doings still have a chance of salvation? Jesus said "go and sin no more". How many times can one be forgiven?

Unlimited.
Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. (KJV)
Jesus was showing Peter that we can be forgiven as many times as necessary, there is no limit on God's forgiveness.
Everyone has a chance at salvation no matter how inconsistent they are.

*Paul showed that all wickedness was not against flesh and blood.
This sentence sounds a bit odd. I think what Paul showed was that the wickedness we fight against did not always come from flesh and blood.
