For #6 in my Favorite Lakers Players series, all you need to know is "legend:" point and shooting guard Jerry West. Nicknamed "Mr.Clutch" for his ability to make clutch shots, Jerry West played 14 years in the NBA, all with the Lakers. During his career, West won one NBA championship, was named NBA Finals MVP, was a 14 time All Star, NBA Scoring Champion, and is on both the 35th and 50th Anniversary teams(there's a lot more, but you get the idea.) He is in both the Basketball and College Basketball Halls of Fame, and his #44 is retired by the Lakers. West also coached the Lakers for three years, and won seven NBA championships as long time General Manager of the team. The NBA logo is a silhouette of Jerry West. West played in 932 games, scoring 25,192 points and dishing out 6,238 assists. As I've pointed out before, I've kept this countdown to players I actually remember watching. And watch Jerry West I did. My mother instructed me to pay attention whenever he had the ball. And I did.
Take a look at Jerry West's NBA highlights. Like me on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Dunkman827 Music: Ludovico Einaudi - Fly

@crossbones27 At the time every one screamed about Pau being "given" to the Lakers but brother Marc became one of the league's best centers so the deal was not lopsided.

Plus, he's always been a class act. A true legend of the game.
