Former Boston Red Sox right handed relief pitcher Brad Ziegler, 37, has reached a two year, $16 million dollar contract with the Miami Marlins on Friday Ken Rosenthal reports.
Ziegler became a free agent at the end of the 2016 Major League Baseball season. The Red Sox were not able to reach an agreement to keep Ziegler on their team after he became a free agent.
Ziegler had offers from at least ten teams in the Major Leagues to work for them according to a report from Chris Cotillo.
Ziegler will join Junichi Tazawa and Kyle Barraclough as the set up relief pitchers for the Marlins during the 2017 Major League Baseball season working behind closer A J Ramos.
